TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for ordering from my bakery! By placing an order and paying your deposit, it will be deemed that you understand and accept the following terms and conditions:

  • All potential orders must be processed via a form on my website. My available dates for specific orders will be marked on the order availability calendar. We suggest including as many details as possible regarding cake size and design in that initial email. After an order is submitted, we offer no-obligation design and flavor consultations via email. I also offer once a month cake tasting boxes for $50, which include 6 cake slices of my most popular flavors. Flavors change every month and can be seasonal. I cannot switch out individual cake slices at this time.

  • After design and flavors have been decided on, we will give you a price quote. There are limited orders per date, and dates are booked via “first come first serve”. A non-refundable deposit of $50 for small cake/dessert orders and $250 for wedding and large event orders is required to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid 14 days prior to your event. Short notice bookings and fees must be paid in full at time of booking. Payment may be made via venmo or invoice. It is the customer’s responsibility to remember to pay, any non payment may be subject to cancellation.

  • All requested alterations to design/flavor must be submitted via email at least one week prior to the event. If requested, we will do our best to adjust the design as possible, but sometimes it is not possible due to the nature of the request or the amount of notice given. If the alterations adjust the cost, the balance will be adjusted accordingly. We reserve the right to change the design or any aspect of the dessert if circumstances beyond our control may compromise the quality of the finished product (i.e. melting due to weather). Small variations to the initial design may occur as all products are created by hand.

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted via email. If a request is submitted 3 weeks prior to the event date, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel in the unlikely event of an emergency or illness, and if that is the case, will refund all money in full. If you need to postpone, we will do our best to accommodate the change, but cannot guarantee that we can do so.

  • Pick up from Acton, MA is expected. Cakes are expected to be picked up at pre-designated time. Delivery can be requested for orders over $150. Delivery charges will depend on location and driving time. If you choose delivery, we will do our best and expect the order to arrive on time in perfect condition. However, if a situation beyond our control arises (i.e. traffic conditions), we ask for patience and cannot be held liable. In some situations, we may request that the delivery occur 1-2 days in advance.

  • We are not liable for any damage that occurs once the order has been given to the client. Please remember that these products are delicate. If damage has occurred after it has left our possession, you can let us know as soon as possible and request repair, and we will help you out if we are able! Repair, including transportation, will require payment accordingly.

    Cakes are heavy, and require a secure level area at the event. If desserts are set up by me, they are not intended to be moved until served.

    Please keep all cakes refrigerated until 1 hour prior to the event. Cakes should not be left in the heat for more than 2 hours. Please remember that the quality and freshness of the desserts will be impacted as days go on, and I recommend freezing the cakes if you plan to eat more than 1 day ahead of the event. Cake can be frozen for up to 3 months when packaged carefully.

  • Please let us know if you have any special dietary restrictions or allergies, and we will do our best to meet them. However, please note that despite our best efforts to prevent, some cross contamination may occur from our kitchen. We will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of our desserts.

  • I work hard and care about each of my orders. If you have any concerns about your order, please inform immediately upon collection/delivery, so that we have time to rectify it. In the unlikely event of any problem or complaint after collection/delivery, you must inform us immediately via phone or email so that I can offer assistance. Cakes/desserts subject to complaint must be returned within 24 hours so that I can assess the problem. If a complaint is valid and an irrefutable mistake has been made on my part, I will offer a maximum of the refund to the value of the order. I am not liable for further compensation or expenses incurred by the customer in the event of an order returned.
